Top 6 vanilla gourmand fragrances for autumn & winter!
The best Gourmand fragrances for autumn and winter
The fall has officially begun, the leaves are almost all off the trees, the days are getting shorter, and the temperatures are starting to drop. Even though winter officially starts on December 21, the temperatures outside already signal that the cold holiday season is approaching. To fully enjoy these colder months, I’ve made a top 6 of vanilla and/or gourmand fragrances for this coming winter and fall! We sell both the samples and the full bottles of these fragrances.
To better understand why I chose certain perfumes, I will first explain what I do and don’t like. Personally, I enjoy fruity, sweet, and fresh fragrances that are medium in strength. I don’t like heavy perfumes; by "heavy," I mean scents with high projection (how far others can smell you). For example, I’m not a fan of fragrances with heavy notes like spices, tobacco, and leather.
Number 6: Vanille Impériale
At number 6, I’ve chosen Vanille Impériale by Houbigant. In this fragrance, the rose dominates strongly along with the vanilla. I’m not particularly fond of roses in my perfume, and the combination of rose and vanilla isn’t my favorite. However, I’ve noticed that this fragrance is more liked by those around me.
Number 5: Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain
Next in my top 6 is Spiritueuse Double Vanille by Guerlain. I’m not a big fan of this fragrance. It’s perfect for winter, with the vanilla and spicy notes being strongly present. Personally, I expected a bit more from the fragrance’s quality, as it didn’t last very long on my skin.
Number 4: Vanilla 28 by Kayali
At number 4, I’ve chosen Vanilla 28 by Kayali. The brown sugar makes this fragrance sweeter, which softens the vanilla note for me. In Vanilla 28, the sweetness comes forward more than the vanilla, which makes it closer to my personal taste.
Number 3: Bianco Latte Giardini Di Toscane
The top 3 starts with Bianco Latte. This fragrance is highly hyped, and I understand why. The caramel comes forward strongly in this fragrance, providing a sweet scent that makes it very enjoyable. The price-to-quality ratio of Bianco Latte is exceptional. The fragrance lasts a long time and is also very potent. Aside from Bianco Latte, nearly all fragrances from Giardini Di Toscane score highly on price/quality ratio.
Number 2: Lattafa Eclaire
Lattafa Eclaire is almost identical in scent to Bianco Latte. This fragrance is just as delicious as Bianco Latte and hard to distinguish. I’ve ranked it above Bianco Latte because it’s an even more affordable alternative. This fragrance has been incredibly hyped in recent months, and in my opinion, it’s totally worth the hype.
Number 1: Maison Mataha Escapade Gourmande
My number 1 is Maison Mataha Escapade Gourmande. This is the ultimate winter fragrance for me. It brings back memories of Sinterklaas, thanks to the sweet sugar cane scent. The sweetness of this fragrance combined with vanilla is what excites me so much! It’s a very unique scent that also lasts incredibly long on your skin.
